During the 1980’s, when crack cocaine became a hit in Charlotte, numerous drug dealers appeared like mushrooms. This was intensified further when a former Vice Lord moved in. The Vice lord started the Krucial Islamic God’S or KINGS for short. Hidden Valley, at that time had plenty of willing recruits. So the KINGS grew in numbers. Eventually, the KINGS became an independent gang and called themselves the Hidden Valley Kings.

On November 2005, a shooting incident occurred at the Eastland Mall between the HVK and Juan Lawrence, who is a drug dealer. The 22-year-old drug dealer escaped unharmed but the HVK continued to come after him. A second attack took place and Lawrence was able to excape again. The Kings finally caught up with the 22-year-old the third time around and killed the drug dealer with an AK-47 Assault Rifle.

The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department stepped up and formed a special operations team to finally eliminate the ruthless Hidden Valley Kings gang. A plan was developed for almost 2 years. Informants were contacted, surveillance tapes were studied and evidences were collected.  With more than a hunder task force unit agents, the Kings took a hit from the police. On March 2007, 20 Hidden Valley Kings gang members were arrested with a handful of criminal charges. As of this writing, the Hidden Valley Kings might still be in active operation, although the police assualt undoubtedly took out a good leg from the violent gang.

Kandi Burruss fiance killed. As the issue continues to unfold, Kandi Burruss actually stepped up and defended Jewell. She said that the media has been stirring things up and based on her own experiences, Jewell has never been offensive to the kids.

According to the police, Jewell obtained severe skull wounds and was rushed to the hospital but it was too late. The Atlanta polica has not yet named the people responsible for the incident.
